A leading law firm in York is seeking an experienced Residential Property Conveyancer/Executive to join their busy office. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in freehold and leasehold transactions and will be capable of managing a caseload independently from start to finish, providing high-quality advice and service to clients. Role Overview The appointed Conveyancer/Executive will manage residential property sales and purchases, handling matters from initial client instructions through to completion. They will be responsible for preparing documentation, liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other parties, and ensuring files are billed and monies collected in line with firm procedures. The role may also involve supervisory responsibilities as required. Key Requirements • 2+ years’ experience in residential property conveyancing, • Strong technical knowledge of freehold and leasehold matters, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage complex files accurately and efficiently, • Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise workload under pressure, • Competent with Windows, Word, and Excel, • Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently when required This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a motivated Residential Property Conveyancer/Executive to join a well-established firm, take ownership of a busy caseload, and develop a solid client base in and around York. WE HAVE A VACANCY FOR A PART TIME PRINTHEAD ENGINEER The position is to join our York based team at our busy office on Clifton Moor, York. The role of a printhead technician is to refurbish / service exchange thermal printheads within our repair workshop. This position would be perfect for an ex fitter / maintenance engineer seeking an interesting engineering job without the demands of a factory environment. Our customers return their Printheads from their production facilities to our workshop in York. The printheads are booked into our ERP system and allocated workshop repair time. Each unit contains mechanical & electrical components. The printhead is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and all wear and tear items replaced. After reassembly, the printhead is calibrated. Finally, a detailed service report is written and the unit despatched on our ERP system to the customer. In addition to repairing printheads, the role also involves: • Stock control using ERP system of printhead items, including reordering of items from suppliers., • Generating printhead performance statistics using reports from an ERP system., • Providing technical support to customers by telephone / email., • Have a long engineering mechanical background with an eye for fine detail., • Be confident to work with PC’s (Windows Office Packages) and have an excellent telephone manner for dealing with customers., • A competitive basic salary, • 20 days holiday (pro-rata for Part-time employees) - plus Christmas shutdown and bank holidays., • A Non-contributory company pension scheme (8.5% salary), • Private health care is available (after a period of two years employment). £13.50 p/hr ( 3 days per week – 24 hrs total) Occasionally overtime may be required in “peak” times This is a rare chance to join our small team of 25 people that combined has over 200 years of experience in our industry.
