We are known for our warm, thoughtful approach, high clinical standards, and strong referral relationships. As demand for CAMHS work continues to grow, we are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a strong CAMHS background. This role is ideally suited to someone who is confident working independently, values high-quality evidence-based care, and wants to focus on clinical work without the burden of marketing, admin, or billing. We are particularly interested in psychologists who can offer evening or weekend clinics. The Role We are looking for an experienced CAMHS psychologist whose main therapeutic modality is CBT, but who also draws thoughtfully on other evidence-based approaches where clinically appropriate. You will have substantial experience assessing and treating children and adolescents presenting with anxiety and depression, and you will have worked as a psychologist within an NHS CAMHS service. You will be joining a collaborative, high-quality private practice and will work with young people and families presenting with a range of difficulties, with a particular emphasis on anxiety, low mood, emotional difficulties, and related presentations. What We Offer • £160 per clinical hour for self-referrals and most insurance companies, • £95.00 per clinical hour for Bupa clients, • Steady stream of referrals, including self-funding and insured clients, • Admin and billing fully handled, so you can focus on clinical work, • Support with set-up, particularly for psychologists newer to private practice, • Flexible working from our consulting rooms in Hampstead or occasional online appointments, • A professional, well-regarded team and a practice model that supports clinical excellence What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who: • Has a doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, • Is HCPC-registered as a Practitioner Psychologist, • Has significant experience working as a psychologist in NHS CAMHS, • Has CBT as their main therapeutic modality, • Also draws on other evidence-based approaches where appropriate, such as ACT, CFT, systemic thinking, parent work, or third-wave CBT approaches, • Has strong experience working with children and adolescents presenting with anxiety and depression, • Is confident undertaking assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention with young people and their families, • Is eligible for insurer recognition, for example Bupa or WPA, • Can ideally offer evening or Saturday clinics, • Can offer at least 4–6 client hours per week, • Is warm, professional, ethical, and clinically independent Given the needs of our client group, we are particularly interested in psychologists with substantial post-qualification experience and a strong track record of delivering high-quality evidence-based therapy in child and adolescent services. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments and develop clear, evidence-based formulations Deliver high-quality interventions for children and adolescents, particularly for anxiety and depression Work effectively with parents and families where appropriate Manage a clinical caseload safely, ethically, and independently Maintain high professional standards in line with HCPC, GDPR, and good clinical practice Adapt interventions flexibly to meet the needs of different young people and presentations Eligibility For International Applicants We welcome applications from psychologists trained outside the UK where training is equivalent to the UK Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology. Please note this will involve a three year doctoral programme equivalent to the DClinpsy in the UK.
