In this role, you aren't teaching a subject you are managing the environment. You will lead classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task, remain safe, and follow the school's behaviour policy. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, giving you a full term to ensure the school is your "forever home" before transitioning to a permanent contract. Key Responsibilities * Classroom Leadership: Take charge of groups of 25-30 students, delivering pre-set work and ensuring a productive atmosphere. * Behaviour Management: Use your life experience and "Preston grit" to de-escalate tension and maintain clear boundaries. * SEMH Support: Act as a positive role model for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs who require a calm, authoritative presence. * Daily Consistency: Ensure the "small wins" happen every day, keeping students engaged and supported.
