We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist individuals in leading independent, fulfilling lives. This role involves providing practical and emotional support to individuals with diverse needs, including disabilities, mental health conditions, or other challenges that impact daily living.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist clients with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores. - Provide emotional and social support to enhance well-being. - Encourage and promote independence while ensuring safety. - Support individuals in accessing community resources, activities, and appointments. - Administer medication (if required and trained). - Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant professionals. - Work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and social services. - Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld at all times. Requirements: - Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential (training provided). - A caring, patient, and empathetic nature. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic understanding of safeguarding and health & safety procedures. - A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). - [Optional] A full UK driving license may be required depending on the role.
