Project Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering Location: Preston / (site-based across the North West) Salary: Competitive Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours Recruiting on behalf of a leading Civil Engineering contractor We are proud to be representing a long-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor with over 25 years’ experience delivering major infrastructure projects—roads, bridges, structures, hydropower and rail—for public and private sector clients. Due to sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a key role offering involvement in varied and high-profile projects across the North West, including Lancashire, Cumbria, Liverpool and Greater Manchester. The Role Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the procurement, commercial and contractual elements of multiple construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities: • Sub-contractor procurement and preparation of formal agreements, • Management of sub-contractor interim and final accounts, • Measurement of works, • Managing contractual, commercial and legal issues, • Budget control, cost monitoring and early identification of overspend, • Preparation and submission of CVR and Profit & Loss reports, • Management and submission of external applications for payment, • Identification, pricing and agreement of changes, variations and compensation events, • Agreement of client final accounts, • Preparation and delivery of commercial and post-contract reviews This is a site-based position, offering the opportunity to work directly with project teams and contribute to the successful delivery of diverse civil engineering schemes.
