Aureos is seeking a highly motivated Design Manager to lead the day-to-day management of projects from our Preston Brook office. This key role involves driving project delivery by coordinating teams, managing timelines, and ensuring all aspects of the design process meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and budget control. The successful candidate will be a confident leader with a strong ability to inspire collaboration and maintain momentum across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project objectives are consistently achieved. Primary tasks and duties • Promoting collaborative and safety culture with the project team(s)., • Identifying project goals, needs, and scope., • Planning, monitoring, and documenting tasks throughout a project., • Ensuring all tasks and deliverables are delivered on-time., • Managing all resources necessary for project execution., • Fostering effective communication with stakeholders concerning project status., • Foreseeing and strategically eliminating blockers and potential risks., • Documenting each step of the process using various project management tools., • Ensuring top-quality results and success for a project. Secondary tasks and duties • Plan and chair progress meetings with the team. Distribute meeting minutes and actions as necessary., • Prepare a monthly report to the Senior Project Manager / Programme Director in advance of the Project Management Review (PMR) meetings., • On completion of the project, the project manager is responsible for produce a case-study which will be issued to the Pre-Contracts team, so that it can be used to support with work-winning activities. Qualifications and Training Essential: • L6 qualification in an appropriate/relevant subject or L3 qualification with minimum 6 years vocational experience., • APM PFQ accreditation, • Valid UK Driving Licence, • Understanding of different engineering disciplines and the relationships and interdependencies between them with participation in all Interdisciplinary Coordination activities., • Experience in the generation of Technical Queries (TQN), Requests for information (RFI), Early Warning Notices (EWN) and contract variations., • Understanding of Commercial and Design process., • Skilled at EVM, CPI, SPI management, • Possess good leadership, communication and organisational skills., • Ability to monitor delivery against programme, • Ability to plan resources to meet programme dates and budget, • Time management., • Ability to read contract requirements and understand scope., • Advanced Office 365 specifically Excel., • MS Project, Primavera Desirable: • APM PMQ accreditation, • Experience of working in an infrastructure project environment, • Experience of commercial software platforms.
