The safety of Londoners is the Mayor of London’s first priority, and he has extensive responsibilities including oversight of the Metropolitan Police Service, setting the priorities for policing and community safety in London and commissioning services to support victims of crime. He delivers those responsibilities through the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is seeking a passionate and independent Victims’ Commissioner to be a strong advocate for victims and survivors of crime across London. This vital role ensures that the voices of victims are heard and prioritised throughout the criminal justice system, driving improvements in how victims experience justice and support. As Victims’ Commissioner, you will identify, report, and campaign for meaningful changes to victim services and criminal justice outcomes in London. You will work closely with government, policing bodies, victim support organisations, and the media to influence policy and promote integrated, victim-centred approaches across agencies. You will advise and support the Deputy Mayor in overseeing the Metropolitan Police Service and other criminal justice agencies.
