Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a construction firm in the Belfast area on the appointment of a Senior Buyer. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager you will play a pivotal role in the procurement team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and manage procurement processes to meet immediate sourcing needs, whilst providing an integral contribution to the strategic buying activities of the company. Responsibilities in your new role: Take the lead in executing daily procurement activities, including purchase order processing, supplier communication, and inventory management, to maintain an efficient supply chain Expand our global supplier base by identifying and evaluating potential suppliers in Europe & Asia for both tactical and strategic procurement needs Lead negotiations with suppliers for tactical purchases to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements. Drive cost reductions and optimize supplier contracts Maintain a supplier database and conduct supplier performance assessments regularly Identify, evaluate, and select strategic suppliers that can provide the best value proposition to the company for tactical purchasing.
