Escape Recruitment are recruiting for a Stores & Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing business. This is a varied, hands-on role combining stores management, stock control, purchasing and expediting activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials and consumables are available to support production while maintaining accurate inventory records and efficient stores operations. Key Responsibilities • Manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores, • Process goods inwards and goods outwards activities, • Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities, • Support production through effective materials management and production kitting, • Place purchase orders for MRO items, consumables, tools and PPE, • Expedite supplier deliveries and follow up on outstanding orders, • Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, lead times and delivery schedules, • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment activities, • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S initiatives, • Operate forklift trucks safely to move materials and goods around site Experience and Knowledge required for the role: • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment, • Experience in stores, inventory, materials or warehouse operations, • Exposure to purchasing, expediting or procurement support activities, • Strong stock control and cycle counting experience, • Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, • Comfortable using ERP, MRP or inventory management systems, • Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance) preferred, • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities What's on Offer? • Competitive salary and benefits package, • Opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business, • Varied role spanning stores, inventory and purchasing activities, • Supportive team environment with opportunities for development Interested?
