Enthusiastic Room Leader | Permanent Role | Outdoor Focused Nursery Pomfret Woodland Community Nursery is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our dedicated team on a permanent basis. This is a chance to join our Senior Team and contribute to a not-for-profit, community-led nursery with a strong child-centred ethos and commitment to outdoor learning. About the Opportunity: As a Room Leader, you will be a key leader in the nursery, responsible for a specific age group (0-5 years). This role offers the opportunity to be part of the Senior Team, helping to shape the daily life and future direction of the nursery. Key Responsibilities: • Lead Practitioner: Act as the Key Person for a designated group of children, overseeing their care and development., • Curriculum Design: Plan and implement activities that are rich, sharp, and focused, demonstrating a commitment to scaffolding learning., • EYFS Expertise: Demonstrate an excellent understanding and practical application of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework., • Leadership: Use strong leadership skills to support your room team and have a positive impact on practice across the nursery., • Qualification: Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare., • Experience: Proven experience working within a nursery provision., • Core Skills: Must have obtained a Level 2 English qualification., • Community Ethos: We are a non-profit, community-led setting committed to serving children from a variety of backgrounds., • Outdoor Focus: Our ethos includes a strong focus on outdoor learning., • We are committed to safeguarding children.
