Business Analyst (Delivery-Focused / Clarity-in-Complexity)\n\nStart 1st of June - 4 month initial contract\nUp to £600 per day - Inside IR35 - Paid through an umbrella\nTravel to site - Stevenage as required - no more than twice a week\n\nRole Purpose:\n\nThe Business Analyst is responsible for bringing clarity, cohesion, and structure to complex delivery environments, ensuring that business intent is accurately translated into actionable, well-defined requirements that enable effective delivery.\n \n Operating within ambiguous and fast-moving programmes, the Business Analyst plays a critical role in turning fragmented inputs into clear requirements, enabling informed decisions, and ensuring delivery remains aligned, prioritised, and executable.\n \n The role focuses on supporting delivery at pace rather than shaping upstream strategy or value definition.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\nClarity & Requirement Shaping\n\nTranslate fragmented business needs into clear requirements and structured user stories\nDefine acceptance criteria aligned to business intent\nIdentify gaps, inconsistencies, and assumptions\nMaintain a single, trusted view of requirements\n\nBacklog & Scope Management\n\nSupport definition and maintenance of epics, features, and user stories\nEnsure backlog items are well-defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery\nWork with Product and Delivery leads to refine and sequence scope\nManage dependencies, constraints, and scope boundaries\n\nStakeholder Coordination & Alignment\n\nAct as a coordination point across business, product, and technology teams\nFacilitate workshops to align understanding and resolve ambiguity\nEnsure shared understanding across stakeholders\n\nDecision Support & Structured Thinking\n\nBreak down complex problems into structured components\nPresent options with trade-offs and implications\nBring discipline to assumptions, risks, and dependencies\n\nDelivery Support\n\nSupport delivery teams in clarifying requirements during build\nParticipate in backlog refinement and delivery ceremonies\nEnsure alignment between business intent and delivered outputs\n\nTraceability & Quality\n\nEnsure requirements are traceable to business intent\nMaintain consistency across artefacts and changes\nSupport validation through clear acceptance criteria\n\nCore Skills & Capabilities\n\nStrong analytical and structuring capability\nAbility to work effectively in ambiguous environments\nStrong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills\nClear written and verbal communication\nPragmatic, delivery-focused mindset\nUnderstanding of digital, data, and platform environments\n\nExperience & Background\n\nExperience in a Business Analyst or similar delivery-focused role - Utilities/Telecoms/Large Capital/Construction\nExperience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments\nExperience supporting programme or transformation delivery\nProven ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems\n\n"What This Role Is and Is Not"\n\nThis role is:\n\nA delivery enabler\nA clarity driver in complex environments\nA structured thinker who enables progressThis role is not:\n\nNot responsible for defining strategic value propositions\nNot a Product Owner or Product Manager\nNot responsible for solution design\nNot a documentation-only role \n\nPlease note you will receive an automated response advising you that we have received your CV.\n\nMorgan Philips Group is a global talent solutions business that disrupts conventional thinking in executive search, recruitment and talent consulting.
