Senior Legal Counsel β Corporate, Commercial & M&A Location: Lichfield (Hybrid) Department: Group Support Reports to: General Counsel Are you a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel looking for a role with real impact? Weβre looking for an experienced UKβqualified solicitor to provide highβquality legal advice across corporate, commercial and M&A matters, as well as supporting operational teams across the organisation. This is a senior, handsβon role where youβll influence strategic decisions, lead transactions and play a key part in our mission to deliver outstanding care. What youβll be doing β’ Advising on acquisitions, disposals, restructures and financing transactions., β’ Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements., β’ Leading corporate due diligence and managing data rooms., β’ Supporting disputes, complaints, operational and regulatory issues., β’ Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business., β’ Supervising and developing legal team members., β’ Managing external counsel and ensuring excellent value and advice., β’ Driving governance, compliance and maintaining legal templates, playbooks and policies. About you Youβll bring strong technical experience and a collaborative, solutionsβfocused approach. Weβre looking for: β’ UKβqualified solicitor with significant PQE (typically 8+ years)., β’ Experience across at least two of the following: corporate/M&A, commercial contracts, litigation, regulatory, data protection., β’ Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills., β’ Ability to balance strategic thinking with handsβon delivery., β’ Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders., β’ A proactive, pragmatic mindset and the ability to support fastβmoving operational teams.
