What You'll Do The Global Brand Activation Director leads a team responsible for concepting and delivering the creative elements for high-impact brand campaigns, events, and initiatives across BCG. Acting as strategic partners to Global Marketing & Communications and business service teams, the team ensures consistent, high-quality brand storytelling that strengthens BCG’s reputation and employer identity worldwide. In this role, you combine strategic foresight with operational leadership, ensuring creative work drives measurable business outcomes. You bring clarity to complexity, foster collaboration across regions and functions, and build a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement. As a senior member of the Global Brand & Creative Strategy leadership team, you play a central role in shaping vision, priorities, and execution across the brand function. This role reports into the Global Brand & Creative Strategy Senior Director. • Define and drive the strategy for the Brand Activation team, setting objectives that align with broader brand, marketing and communications, and business goals., • Serve as a senior partner for priority campaigns and initiatives, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities and maximum brand impact., • Lead end-to-end delivery of the digital and physical creative elements for multi-channel initiatives, from shaping briefs to ensuring on-time, high-quality execution., • Translate complex ideas into clear, actionable strategies and scalable processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness., • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, anticipating needs and aligning strategy to business priorities., • Act as a connector across Creative Strategy & Design, Brand Strategy, and Operations leadership to ensure coordinated, consistent brand delivery., • Lead and inspire the Brand Activation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability., • Mentor and develop talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and resources to deliver at scale. What You'll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is preferred; Master's degree is a plus., • Minimum of 12 years of experience in advertising, marketing, communications, or related field. Account management experience within a creative agency a plus., • Proven experience leading creative, marketing, or brand activation teams, with responsibility for setting objectives, developing and managing workflows, and developing talent., • Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture., • Strong operational management skills, including resource planning, performance oversight, and budget accountability., • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with a proven ability to build relationships, advise senior leaders, and drive alignment across functions and geographies., • Proven experience leading 360 campaign creative initiatives across digital, print and experiential channels, ensuring timely delivery, brand consistency and creative excellence across all outputs., • Ability to evaluate outcomes, apply insights, and continuously evolve best practices., • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a growth mindset., • Proactive, organized, process oriented and accountable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment., • Curious and innovative, with a strong grasp of emerging trends in branding, storytelling, and creative production. In this role, you will work closely with the other sub-team leaders – including Creative Strategy & Design, Brand Strategy, and Operations. What You'll Do • Support the development and execution of industry-leading comms/PR campaigns and a strong pro-active media relations programme, • Develop and build BCG's network of media contacts focusing on the global titles based in the UK, national press, and key industry specialist titles, • Be a core member of running BCG’s day-to-day BCG London press office, handling incoming media queries and liaising directly with MDPs to prepare for and react to media opportunities, • Work alongside senior stakeholders to proactively monitor and manage reputational risk, provide strategic counsel, handle press enquiries and work alongside client communications teams and digital experts where needed, • Help manage our local PR agency, • You will be part of the London-Amsterdam-Brussels (LAB) system. You will be based in London, UK but may be required to travel to the Netherlands and/or Belgium occasionally for global, regional connections, • Drive a streamlined media monitoring programme for the LAB system alongside global media/marketing metrics colleagues, • Work alongside the LAB Marketing Team and Global PR teams to raise the profile of BCG’s experts and thought leadership, • Where appropriate, proactively pitch story ideas from a busy pipeline of BCG research and published content, with a specific focus on the UK, • Oversee the media training of MDPs and prepare experts for media interactions, including attending interviews and meetings, and preparing briefing documents YOU'RE GOOD AT • Written and verbal communication – able to formulate and articulate a viewpoint on complicated issues, develop compelling press materials and create concise, well-written narratives/messages, • Problem solving, critical and creative thinking and flexibility of approach – the ability to drive results and impact in often ambiguous situations, • Working in a team environment and collaborating across teams/units to deliver the best for BCG, • Relationship building (externally with media and internally with a variety of stakeholders) – knowing when to constructively challenge where appropriate, • Working efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced PR setting including issue management and crisis comms, • Finding a media hook and aligning our assets (thought leadership, expertise, partners, etc.) with the busy UK news agenda, • Quickly establishing a good understanding of a wide variety of industries, • Staying organised and making progress amidst a high volume of complex projects and stakeholders, • Maintaining high quality standards under pressure, • Displaying a strong work ethic, service-mentality, and autonomous drive What You'll Bring • BA / Masters preferred, at least 7+ years of B2B press experience ideally in professional services environment, agency or similar, • Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with target UK and European media, • Strong track record delivering and supporting campaigns across earned, owned and paid media, • Excellent understanding of the components of a B2B news piece, article, feature, op-ed or by-lined comment piece, • Genuine interest and knowledge of the UK media ecosystem and cycle Who You'll Work With • LAB Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs) and both global and local topic experts, • Report into LAB PR Director and work closely with the LAB Marketing Team, • Global Positioning and External Communications Team, particularly the Global Head of External Communications and European Media Relations Lead, • Wider network of London office and LAB system staff Additional info BCG’s marketing team drives the firm’s reputation as a thought leader. This role operates on a primarily remote basis with occasional on-site work in London or Vienna as required.
