Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain robust safety cases for fuel cell and electrolysis technologies, • Identify, analyse, and evaluate hazards and define appropriate risk control measures, • Apply process safety methodologies such as HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA, • Produce clear and structured safety documentation and technical reports, • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners on safety strategies, • Support safety assurance activities across product development and demonstration programmes, • Contribute to safety management plans and ensure effective implementation, • Engage with partners to support safe delivery of pilot projects and technology demonstrations Who We’re Looking For • Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, • Experience with systems safety processes, tools, and methodologies, • Understanding of full project lifecycle from concept through to operation and end of life, • Knowledge of functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or IEC 61511, • Experience working on complex engineered systems in sectors such as energy, automotive, aerospace, or chemicals, • Familiarity with structured engineering processes including risk and requirements management, • Broad technical understanding across disciplines such as thermodynamics, mechanical design, and electrical systems, • Awareness of safety considerations relating to hazardous substances and flammable environments, • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams Location and Package Location: Horsham Job type: Full-time Package: Competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for development and progression If you are interested in contributing to the future of clean energy and advancing your career in safety engineering, we encourage you to apply.
