About the role: We haveafantasticopportunity within our Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) ServiceforConstructionHealth, Safety & WellbeingAdvisors. You will work within the Capital/Constructionteam andwill primarily undertake auditsand inspectionsof our constructiondelivery partnersto ensure good standardsaremaintained. We work closely with colleaguesanddelivery partnerstodefine anddevelop standardsandprovidetechnical advice. We undertake a programme of auditsandinspectionsto ensure these standards areeffectively implemented. If something goes wrong, we provide technical support forinvestigationsand ensure lessons areshared andembedded. We collaborate with our supply chain and wider construction industry to developand share best practice. The role requires travel to construction sites to undertake audits and will be a mix of office / home based and construction site-based health, safety, and wellbeing assurance activities.You can be based at any one of the locations listed. Key accountabilities will include: Completing construction site audits and inspections, including reporting and follow upactions. Providingtechnical advice on topics associated with design, construction, and maintenance. Supportingincidentinvestigationsandassociated learning. Influencingourdeliverypartners to continuously improve their performance. Ensuringrelevantstandards,guidanceandtraining remainup to date. Creating training and awareness tools and deliver these to the business. At all timesyoullrole-model theHSWbehaviours andgoodpractice that we expect of our colleaguesand partners. Everyone starting in this role will be welcomed into the team and given all the training and support needed. As part of your comprehensive induction, you will be provided with all the equipmentrequiredfor your role. Your skills and abilities in building rapport with your customers and peers, through clear and persuasive communication (both oral and written) is a vital attribute. You will be comfortablereviewing and improving ways of working to enable a consistent understanding and application ofH&Slegislationand best practice indesign,planningandconstructiondelivery. Experience/SkillsRequired Essential: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. A minimum of 3 years' experience in any of these fields; construction, civil engineering, refurbishment and maintenance of assets, mechanical and electrical works. Qualified to at leastNEBOSHHealth and SafetyManagement forConstructionCertificate(UK)levelorequivalent. Desirable: Membership ofarelevant professional institution such as IOSH or IIRSM,(ideally Chartered or working towards). What We Offer You: A salary of £43,198.
