The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an established, thriving nursery setting in Crabbs Cross, Redditch - and to become a key part of the wider Bright Kids management team. We're looking for a Nursery Manager who is confident, passionate and genuinely inspirational - someone who leads from the front, gets the best out of their team, and holds high standards for both care and education. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines day-to-day operational management with a real focus on quality, consistency and creating an environment where children and staff alike can flourish. Key Responsibilities • Lead the day-to-day and financial operations of the nursery, including invoicing, budget control and the funding portal, • Oversee the delivery of a high standard of care and education in line with Bright Kids' ethos, values and the Curiosity Approach, • Lead, manage and develop your staff team with a focused, supportive and inspiring leadership style, • Ensure the curriculum is promoted and consistently delivered throughout the setting, • Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment that meets health and safety standards, • Act as an approachable point of contact for staff, parents and external professionals, • Contribute as an active member of the wider Bright Kids management team What We're Looking For • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare, with at least three years' post-qualification experience in a nursery setting (higher qualifications are a real advantage), • Previous management experience preferred; a minimum of two years' supervisory experience is required, • Strong understanding of all aspects of nursery operations, including financial administration, • Confident using computerised systems and digital platforms, • A natural leader - motivating, consistent and able to make sound decisions under pressure, • Flexible, enthusiastic and professional, with a good sense of humour and the ability to work on your own initiative Hours & Salary Ideally full-time, 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern between 7.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday - though we're open to discussing part-time and flexible working arrangements. Salary up to £38,000 per annum FTE (based on 42.5 hours per week, inclusive of basic salary and on-target occupancy bonus). Subject to experience and qualification. Pro rata for part-time.
