This innovative organisation is tackling some of the most challenging problems in modern hardware design, bringing together deep engineering and bold technical vision. They are looking for a talented System Architect to join their growing team and drive the technical direction of complex, high-performance systems. In this role, you'll be instrumental in defining architectures that push the boundaries of what's possible. You'll operate at the critical intersection where ambitious requirements meet practical engineering constraints, defining solutions that are both innovative and deliverable. Working alongside talented cross-functional teams, you'll help shape technical strategy while acting as the 'glue' that keeps the roadmaps visible, cohesive and tangible. This is an impactful and exciting opportunity, and your contributions will directly shape the direction and technical trajectory of the organisation. 📍Location: UK (Hybrid) ⚡Industry: Deep-Tech Main Responsibilities: • Design and define system-level architectures for complex hardware platforms, • Ensure crisp technical decision-making across interconnected hardware and software components, • Work closely and collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure the vision translates into practical implementation, • Keep on top of emerging technologies that enhance system capabilities, • Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews with leadership and stakeholders, • Support the growth and development of engineering team members through knowledge sharing and mentorship, as well as playing a key part in recruitment initiatives, • Contribute to long term technical roadmap planning and strategic initiatives About You: • A true 'systems thinker' who can go deep into the nitty-gritty detail whilst being focused on the overall strategy and vision, • Solid experience in system architecture (or aligned technical roles) with demonstrable organic growth across technical responsibilities and leadership, • Strong understanding of computer systems fundamentals including processing architectures, memory systems, and communication protocols, • Demonstrable ability to design cohesive systems that balance competing technical and business requirements, • Experience bridging hardware and software domains to create integrated solutions, • Excellent stakeholder management and technical communication skills; mentorship and coaching skills would be a huge benefit too Additional Information: • Autonomy and trust are key elements of the culture, and close collaboration is vital to drive this ethos, • Equity as part of your overall package - you'll have a genuine stake in the future you're helping to shape, • Standard benefits plus professional development shaped around you, • Hybrid working arrangements, with a pragmatic approach.
