Reed Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company. Key Responsibilities Furnace/Melting Technician • Operate niche specialised furnaces within the site, • Melt materials such as nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, or stainless steels in compliance with process specifications., • Follow melting curves, target temperatures, alloy additions, and hold times precisely., • Conduct alloy sampling and support chemical analysis processes., • Prepare crucibles, furnace linings, charge materials, and tools to exact quality standards., • Calibrate and check equipment prior to melting cycles., • Maintain full traceability of materials, melts, and process parameters., • Record furnace data, temperatures, times, and deviations accurately., • Follow quality approvals such as AS9100, NADCAP, and other internal quality procedures., • Follow strict PPE and safety procedures., • Complete risk assessments, pre-use checks etc, • Support improvements in furnace efficiency, melt quality, and process repeatability., • Contribute to lean manufacturing or 5S initiatives., • Work closely with team members to maintain consistent production flow. Essential • Experience in melting, casting, foundry, forging or heat treatment operations, or heavy manufacturing would be highly advantageous, • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tightly controlled processes., • Safety-focused mindset, especially in high-temperature environments., • Ability to interpret work instructions, melting parameters, and technical documents.

Our exciting new client is now searching for a III-V Device Engineering Manager with deep expertise in III-V semiconductor device design, development and volume manufacturing. The candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the scaling the production of the first product range and developing the new product range for optical communication systems. This role will sit at the intersection of R&D, Operations, Engineering and external foundry partners. Ensuring that new epi layers, process flows, tests are scalable from prototyping using in-house facilities through to volume manufacturing at foundry partners.
