Main Purpose of the Role Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job, it's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch. \n We currently have the following opportunity: \n Senior Clerical Assistant, Home Assessment Recovery Teams - PKC13734 £27,010 - £28,455 Based at Pullar House, Perth \n Would you like to work in a role where you are making a real difference to people’s lives within our communities? \n If so, the Home Assessment Recovery Team (HART) Services play a key role in supporting safe, timely discharge and short term assessment pathways for adults returning home from hospital. \n Perth & Kinross is split into 3 locality areas (North, South and City) and the teams are responsible for the coordination, inclusive of organising and coordinating packages of support to vulnerable service users, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services. \n Are you caring, compassionate and looking to work in an environment which encourages you to develop your skills and experience in health and social care? \n The role will allow and require you to demonstrate your experience of multi-disciplinary working and be committed to working closely with colleagues from other disciplines. \n We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come and join us as a clerical assistant. This is a really important post within the team and would require you to operate departmental systems, including databases and spreadsheet applications for the accurate input, collation and retrieval of information. You will also assist and carry out searches as required on computerised service user information system, collating standard reports as required. \n This role is mainly hybrid working with a mix of office, home & locality working. \n This is a fast paced role and other activities would include; \n\n • Gather Assessment information and input to client database\n, • Input Assessments and care plans into departmental systems\n, • Check timesheets & complete variations for Payroll\n, • Maintain operational spreadsheets for accurate statistical reporting.\n, • Stock control of Protective Clothing/Equipment/Stationery for service\n, • Check any invoices with regards to stationery orders, uniform etc. and pass to finance\n, • Assist in maintaining the filing system to ensure efficient and effective retrieval of documents and materials\n, • General typing of letters, memoranda, forms and photocopying as required\n, • Organising, preparing and minute taking for meetings\n, • Assist in the receiving of mail and preparation of outgoing mail\n, • Maintain a professional approach responding to all queries from the public, Council employees and outside Agencies in an efficient and courteous manner, using initiative to resolve problems; personally and by the telephone both internally and externally\n, • Ensure the appropriate degree of confidentiality in all work undertaken\n, • To provide cover for other members of the Home Assessment Recovery Team as and when required.\n, • You must have relevant experience working in an office environment.\n, • You must be numerate.\n, • You must have experience working with computer software packages, it would be beneficial if you have experience of Departmental Scheduling Systems (Carelink/Optimise/MOSAIC).\n, • You have a personal responsibility for taking care of yourself and others and must comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation Equality & Dignity at Work.\n, • The ability to treat colleagues and customers with dignity and respect as per the Employee Charter.\n, • Efficient and effective communication skills.\n, • Ability to work in a variety of situations and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.\n, • Good standard of general education and would be beneficial if you have European Computer Driving Licence and HNC in Admin.\n, • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.\n, • Must be able to cope with the demands of the job and attend on a regular basis.\n, • This role is mainly hybrid working with a mix of office, home & locality working.\n, • You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.\n\n Working at Perth & Kinross Council Our values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities.
