Quality Control Officer Aberdeen based Full time permanent The Role The Quality Control Officer is responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and improving operational processes and procedures to ensure they are compliant, effective, and properly documented. The role supports the implementation of quality standards, controlled documentation, and consistent process execution across the business. You will work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure the highest levels of quality and service. Key Responsibilities • Review and assess existing processes, procedures, and work instructions for accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness., • Support the development, review, and rollout of quality control systems and processes, including manuals, SOPs, checklists, forms, and related documentation., • Track and report investigations and non-conformances (NCRs), documenting quality issues and corrective actions., • Monitor adherence to approved processes and identify deviations, gaps, or risks., • Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal departments to investigate issues, resolve problems, and implement preventative measures., • Support alignment between internal processes and client requirements where required., • Lead continuous improvement meetings to support corrective actions and operational improvements., • Provide guidance and training to employees on quality control processes and best practices., • Work closely with document users to ensure they understand and comply with relevant documentation for their tasks., • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. General Responsibilities • Adhere to established work practices, methods, and procedures., • Participate in relevant training and development activities., • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection guidelines., • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures., • Perform any reasonable duties aligned with the responsibilities and level of the role. Requirements • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality control role or related field., • Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes., • Ability to perform the responsibilities of the role to a high standard., • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Skills • Strong attention to detail., • Ability to critically review procedures and identify gaps., • Knowledge of quality control systems, audit requirements, and compliance standards., • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to support implementation., • Strong reporting and documentation skills., • Ability to analyse operational processes and systems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement., • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
