Role: Technical Business Analyst (Broker Systems) Location: London / Hybrid (2 days on-site) Dept: Product & Analytics Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 p/a + package A modern software provider to commercial insurance brokers in the UK. Our mission is to enable brokers to record data once, eliminate re-keying, streamline insurer quote binding via APIs, improve data infrastructure, and help brokers deliver the best risk advice and protection for small businesses. Role Overview: We are looking for a Data & Analytics Business Analyst to join our growing product & analytics team. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders (brokers, insurers) to define, enhance, and deliver data-driven features and reports. You’ll help turn business questions into analytics, define requirements, and make sure our data systems support scalable, actionable insight. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product, engineering, and external users (brokers / insurers) to gather, clarify, and document data and reporting requirements., • Translate business questions into metrics, dashboards, or analytic models., • Specify data pipelines, data sources, and transformations needed to support analytics use cases., • Define and monitor KPIs related to quote & bind speed, lead conversion, policy renewals, client satisfaction, and other key metrics., • Build or guide the development of dashboards and reports; validate data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies., • Support implementation of data enrichment (e.g. Companies House / trade identification / other external data) and data quality checks., • Help with API specification or product features that surface analytics (e.g. reporting API, broker-facing data), • Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience: • 2-5 years experience in a business analyst / data analyst / analytics role, ideally in insurance, fintech or SaaS., • Strong SQL skills; ability to write queries, do joins, aggregations, quality checks., • Experience with BI / dashboarding tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar)., • Some experience with data modelling or understanding of data pipelines., • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to define requirements and push for clarity., • Good stakeholder management and communication; able to present to product, engineering, and business users.
