We’re now looking for a Category & Customer Insights Manager to join our UK Commercial team on a 6‑month fixed term contract, based in Frimley (hybrid working). The role This role will provide additional resource to accelerate key strategic initiatives, as well as cover a period of parental leave within the Category team. Reporting to the Portfolio & Category Lead, you’ll play a critical role in shaping customer marketing recommendations that drive category, customer and commercial growth across our garden care portfolio (including compost, lawn, plant food, pest control and outdoor cleaning). You’ll use category analysis, shopper insight and market data to build compelling, insight‑led recommendations for Joint Business Plans, customer activation, ranging and promotional strategies. What you’ll be doing • Turning market, shopper and sales data into actionable insights and customer‑ready stories, • Supporting Sales and Marketing with customer presentations, JBPs and end‑of‑season reviews, • Developing range, space and activation recommendations across multiple retail channels, • Tracking and analysing range performance, pricing and promotions across channels, • Partnering with key retailers across Grocery, Value, DIY, Garden Centres and Amazon, • Working closely with internal teams and third‑party insight agencies (e.g. NielsenIQ, Kantar) What we’re looking for • Proven experience in Category Management within the consumer goods sector, • Strong ability to use shopper, consumer and market data to build persuasive customer recommendations, • Experience working across multiple sales channels (in‑store and online), • Confident communicator with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, • Collaborative, analytical and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment, • Experience influencing cross‑functional Sales and Marketing teams, • An interest in gardening or the gardening industry is a plus, but not essential. Working pattern This is a full‑time hybrid role, with approximately 3 days per week based in Frimley and/or customer offices.
