We’re working with Green Planet Design Engineers - a forward-thinking building services consultancy known for delivering low-energy, low-carbon design solutions across commercial, residential, retail and international projects. Founded in 2008, they have a reputation for innovative, practical engineering that balances performance, sustainability and usability. Now, they’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of projects and help shape the next phase of growth. This is a hands-on, client-facing position where you’ll lead mechanical design across a variety of high-end fit-out and refurbishment schemes. You’ll be involved from concept through to completion, working closely with architects, clients, and internal teams to deliver smart, efficient MEP solutions. What you’ll be doing • Leading mechanical design on projects across commercial, retail and workplace sectors, • Producing detailed designs (HVAC, ventilation, heating/cooling systems), • Supporting project delivery from feasibility through to commissioning, • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (M&E, BIM, architects), • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development, • Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders What they’re looking for • Strong background in building services / MEP consultancy, • Proven experience delivering mechanical design on UK projects, • Comfortable leading projects and dealing with clients directly, • Proficiency in industry tools (e.g. IES, Hevacomp, Revit/BIM), • A mindset focused on efficiency, sustainability and long-term design, • Ideally working toward or already Chartered (CEng)
