Rate: £22/hr\nHours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–14:00\nThe Role:\nJoin a small, friendly toolroom team producing prototype, first-off, small batch, and large precision components for aerospace, automotive, medical, marine, and nuclear sectors.\nBenefit from working in a close-knit workshop while being part of a larger engineering group with a £60M turnover, combining personal support with stability and growth opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Program, set, and operate 3 & 5 axis CNC milling machines\n * Produce first-off, prototype, small batch, and large components\n * Plan tooling sequences, adjust feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies to control vibration and ensure accuracy\n * Work with aluminium, stainless steel, tool steels, alloy steels, and engineering plastics\n * Use CAD/CAM software (Delcam, SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360)\n * Carry out conventional machining: centre lathe, turret mill, surface grinder\n * Make jigs and fixtures to support machining\n * Perform hand fitting and finishing to achieve tight tolerances\n * Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMM\n * Ensure projects are completed on time to meet lead times\nSkills & Experience:\n * 5+ years CNC milling experience\n * Experience with Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls\n * Skilled in toolroom/prototype machining and conventional machines\n * Able to produce jigs, fixtures, and large complex components\n * Experienced in tooling sequences, cutting speeds, and feeds\nWhy Apply?\n * £22/hr + overtime\n * Work in a small, friendly team producing components from small to large\n * Part of a £60M engineering group with career and training opportunities\n * Pension, training opportunities, free parking\nApply today to join a workshop where your CNC and toolroom expertise will contribute to producing high-quality, technically challenging components in a supportive environment
