Description We're looking for a commercially aware and mission-driven Product Owner to lead the development of accessible, affordable and confidence-inspiring public charging solutions for disabled customers. As Product Owner - Charging on the Go, you will shape how Motability Operations enables on-the-go EV charging that genuinely works for our community - not just technically, but physically, financially, and experientially. You will drive strategic partnerships, accessibility data integration, and customer-facing feature development within a multi-disciplinary squad. This is a key role in making sure that the transition to electric is possible for all, regardless of where or how a customer needs to charge. Key Responsibilities Strategic Roadmap & Vision Define and evolve the roadmap for public charging that reflects the physical accessibility, roaming availability, and pricing needs of our customers Lead the product thinking behind how we surface accessibility data, coordinate with charging networks, and shape the Go App experience Translate the strategy into deliverable features, partnerships and journeys - from pricing models to review templates Backlog Ownership & Delivery Own and manage the product backlog, prioritising initiatives that improve access, usability and cost for public charging Create well-formed user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect the lived experience of disabled EV users Guide delivery on initiatives such as CPO data integrations, site accessibility reviews, and app enhancements in collaboration with Electroverse Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with CPOs (Charge Point Operators) to develop scalable and reliable data-sharing models Partner with advocacy groups (e.g. Disabled Motoring UK) and research teams to co-design features and prioritise user pain points Ensure insights from pilots, reviews and on-the-ground accessibility audits feed directly into delivery priorities Agile Team Leadership Lead sprint planning, review and prioritisation in partnership with Scrum Master and squad team Foster a delivery rhythm that builds iteratively toward quarterly and longer-term value outcomes Act as point of escalation for accessibility or regulatory issues within the public charging space Measurement & Continuous Improvement Track KPIs including usage of public charging, customer satisfaction, app engagement, and accessibility coverage Drive improvements based on data gathered from site visits, customer feedback, and partner performance Maintain focus on delivering the most impactful charging experience improvements for those with the least flexibility Qualifications You are a systems thinker who thrives in a cross-functional environment. You're energised by the challenge of making complex physical and digital infrastructure work for real people - and you're motivated by a desire to make transport more equitable, inclusive and customer-first. Minimum criteria: Experience as a Product Owner OR Product Manager in connected services, mobility, accessibility, or consumer platforms. Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships OR integrate third-party data sources/APIs. Strong understanding of accessibility standards OR inclusive design/UX. Evidence of customer-first thinking, particularly in service equity and inclusion. Skilled in prioritisation and communication, balancing delivery, customer needs, and stakeholder expectations. Desirable criteria: Experience with EV roaming platforms OR CPO APIs (e.g. Electroverse). Knowledge of public sector accessibility regulations or consumer rights in transport Comfort navigating legal and ethical considerations in public infrastructure data collection Benefits Motability Operations is a unique organisation, virtually one of a kind.
