We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Pest Control Technician to join our team. This is a practical and varied role. No two days are the same, and you will visit a range of properties, identify pest problems, carry out treatments and provide customers with professional advice to prevent problems from returning. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems and dealing with customers professionally. Key Responsibilities • Attend scheduled domestic and commercial pest control appointments., • Investigate pest activity and identify the cause and extent of infestations., • Identify common pests including rats, mice, cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, ants, wasps, flies and other nuisance pests., • Carry out pest control treatments safely and effectively using approved methods and products., • Set, inspect and maintain traps, bait stations and monitoring equipment., • Carry out follow-up visits and assess the effectiveness of treatments., • Identify potential pest entry points, harbourage areas and contributing factors., • Provide customers with clear advice and recommendations to prevent future infestations., • Complete treatment reports, photographs and job records accurately., • Communicate with the office regarding completed jobs, follow-up requirements and customer issues., • Maintain pest control equipment, PPE and company vehicles in a clean and professional condition., • Follow all company health & safety, COSHH and pest-control procedures., • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing Pests R Us., • Build positive relationships with customers and site managers., • Identify opportunities for additional pest-control, proofing or preventative work where appropriate. Driving & Motorcycle Licence Because the role involves travelling between customer sites, applicants must have a suitable means of travelling to work locations. A full UK driving licence is preferred. Applicants who use a motorcycle or scooter are also welcome. A valid CBT with the appropriate motorcycle entitlement or a full motorcycle licence is acceptable where applicable. Any motorcycle/scooter used for work must have appropriate business-use insurance and comply with all legal requirements.
