Chester £40,000 – £50,000 per annum An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a newly established 3-bedded children’s residential home in Chester, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in managing children’s homes, who is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving exceptional outcomes. As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and ongoing operation of the home, ensuring full regulatory compliance and creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for the young people in our care. • Lead the successful registration and operational setup of the new EBD home, • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, legislation, and safeguarding standards, • Recruit, build, and develop a high-performing staff team dedicated to delivering outstanding care, • Oversee all day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and quality assurance, • Drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of practice and outcomes, • Demonstrable experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting, • Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), • Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted frameworks, • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), • Excellent leadership and operational management skills, • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to form strong professional relationships, • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills, • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead staff teams, • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, • Confidence in managing budgets and resources, • Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure, • Proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement, • Competitive salary, • Comprehensive support from an experienced senior leadership team, • Opportunities for ongoing training, professional development, and career progression
