Position: Project Manager – Maritime, MOD Projects Location: Redhill, Surrey, up to 6 Days per month remote possibility Reporting to: Programme Director Department: Bids, Project Management and Assurance What the Role is About: We are looking for a hands-on Maritime Project Manager with direct experience managing installation projects for the UK MOD and Royal Navy. The role involves leading multiple concurrent installations, overseeing engineering teams, and ensuring successful project delivery within MOD governance structures. The position requires a deep understanding of MOD processes and terminology, including HAT (Harbour Acceptance Trials), SAT (Sea Acceptance Trials), CIAP (Change Impact Assessment Process), EGPs (Equipment Guidance Packages), IGPs (Installation Guidance Packages), and Modification Leaflets. Key Responsibilities: • Overall management of several, concurrent or sequential maritime installation projects., • Manage the full lifecycle of maritime installation projects, from planning to completion., • Lead teams executing installation work on MOD/Royal Navy vessels, ensuring full compliance with MOD processes., • Produce and/or review EGPs, IGPs, and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs and surveys., • Manage the Change Impact Assessment Process (CIAP) in collaboration with the Engineering and Assurance Teams., • Directly oversee Harbour Acceptance Trials (HAT) and Sea Acceptance Trials (SAT)., • Ensure all installation projects adhere to MOD governance, reporting, and compliance structures., • Coordinate supplier and subcontractor activities, ensuring on-time delivery and quality control., • Regularly report project progress to MOD stakeholders and internal leadership teams Key Skills & Experience: • Ability to work hard, show tenacity, proactively work on own initiative, solve problems using own judgement, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results., • Must hold, or have the ability to achieve, DV Security Clearance, • Project management experience with UK MOD and other UK government departments., • Experience with UK MOD maritime electrical installation projects., • Technical experience in electrical/electronic, IT networking equipment and satellite communication., • First-hand experience with HAT, SAT, CIAP, EGPs, and IGPs., • Experience in writing EGPs, IGPs and Modification Leaflets to a high standard., • Excellent communication skills., • Must be extremely customer-focused with a proactive and flexible approach to work., • Good numeracy and literacy skills., • Experienced in standard office applications., • The ability to produce a high standard of work which meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements. • Flexibility with regard to travel and requirements of the role. The Pricing Manager will use technical skills and experience to deliver significant improvements to our pricing models, capability and analysis. What you’ll do: • Be a senior member of our Portfolio Pricing team working across multiple ongoing projects., • Drive key benefits through our pricing models, capability, analysis and insights., • Lead the identification of challenges and opportunities by interpreting our data and advising on appropriate action., • Implement retail and risk models into live pricing and well-constructed pricing tests to drive an iterative model improvement., • Track trading performance and OKRs, the risk mix and loss performance., • Own sign-off meetings with senior members of the business to obtain approval for any recommended changes, taking responsibility for the clear articulation of the business benefits/risks and the pros/cons of the methodology used., • Extensive Pricing experience in either a Pricing Manager or Principal Pricing Analyst capacity within the Personal Lines Insurance market., • Strong analytical mindset with a curiosity for data and fantastic data manipulation skills., • Significant experience in delivering statistical models, e.g. GLMs, GBMs or other relevant techniques., • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, lead and mentor individuals in a team., • Strong governance awareness to make sure models implemented fully adhere to regulatory and far value measures., • Any experience of Radar and Emblem is highly advantageous, • You’ll start with an introductory call with one of our Talent Partners.
