This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Comcast Enterprise Procurement team. As a Procurement Manager, you will be assisting with the strategic sourcing direction for Consumer Product & Network related spend categories across Sky Group (UK, DACH and ITA) and Comcast/NBCU in the US. The role will involve interaction with other departments at global and local level, including various Technology/Product areas, Finance and Legal. What you'll do: • Reporting to the Head of Procurement for Content Protection and IoT, you will support the team and help to deliver local and group wide deals across our key markets (USA, UK, Italy and Germany). You will also support other leaders within the Consumer Product and Networks team, in line with the Enterprise Procurement operating model., • Contribute to the Procurement strategy for the team's spend categories, which include customer premise equipment, content protection technologies and IoT devices., • Own and lead data gathering and analytics for the team on spend information, contract data, market analysis and other required data and reports., • Own a pipeline of tactical deals in Content Protection and IoT and support a range of strategic initiatives within the wider category., • Build and maintain internal partner relationships, with regular communication, ensuring clear understanding and alignment between their strategic technology plans and Procurement's direction., • Be able to produce deal summaries, create/deliver quality presentations and reports on a regular basis at Director-level, demonstrating an ability to clearly communicate financial and non-financial benefits to stakeholders., • Provide strategic commercial input to a broad range of initiatives, including company-wide cost-saving programmes., • Understand the external factors and key challenges faced in the Media industry and use this knowledge to drive innovation and challenge current business processes.What you'll bring:, • Proven Procurement experience specifically including the development of category plans, sourcing tools/techniques and data analysis expertise., • Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen to and understand the needs of our stakeholders whilst having the confidence to challenge them when necessary/appropriate., • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of running sourcing activities, including RFPs, contract management, large scale contract renewals, stakeholder management., • Demonstrable understanding of key contract terms such as liabilities, indemnities, intellectual property rights, termination rights etc., • Good understanding of Sky/Comcast, our platforms and products, and the wider context within which our business operates., • Experience of working in an analyst role and within a procurement team., • Experience in a global / pan-European function and a clear understanding of the challenges this can present.Procurement: We bring the best from the global market into Sky - we buy technology, marketing, corporate, operational services and editorial production solutions. Your new company You will be working in a dynamic UK Finance Centre of Excellence as a Senior Financial Accountant, reporting directly to the Head of Statutory Reporting. This is a high-impact role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, including the Senior Vice-President Finance UK & Ireland, Business Finance Directors, and Corporate teams in Canada. Your new role As a key member of our statutory reporting team, you will lead monthly legal entity reporting into Group Corporate systems (FCCS). In addition, you will also support quarterly reporting to Montreal, contribute to Group financial statements, prepare UK subsidiary financial statements under FRS 101 (18 entities), perform monthly account reconciliations using Blackline, collaborate with internal teams: tax, treasury, company secretarial, internal audit, and business finance, manage relationships with external and internal auditors, contribute to strategic projects including legal entity reorganisation and dividend planning and drive process improvement initiatives across statutory reporting. What you'll need to succeed You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with post-qualification experience, a background in external audit and accounting, ideally from a Big Six firm, strong technical skills in IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS 101), have an analytical mindset with a logical approach to problem-solving, you will possess excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, have a proactive, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
