The Role The Property Apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge, skills, qualifications and understanding required to be a Property Lawyer. You will work in our offices supporting the teams with a mix of administrative and legal work and will have the equivalent to one day per week studying with our chosen provider. Due to growth we have vacancies for 2 apprentices in our Colchester office and 1 apprentice in our Woodbridge office. Over the course of the apprenticeship you will obtain a CLC qualification. At the end of the apprenticeship you will become a Licensed Conveyancer, with at least 4 years of practical experience. You will gain experience in managing a Conveyancing caseload with support from your Line Manager and Training Manager. This will include reviewing property title documents, mortgages and much more. WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED? • 5/10 years PQE and above., • Passion for corporate transactional work and developing knowledge in this area of law., • Experience including leading corporate transactions, restructuring matters, shareholders’ agreements, corporate finance arrangements, partnership agreements and LLP agreements, share options and other related work., • Excellent knowledge of company law and related legislation., • Experience managing teams on transactions and projects., • Internal management and leadership experience., • Supervising others in the delivery of work, transactions, drafting and achieving projects to target deadlines., • Implementing team training, procedures and providing technical updates to assist with team know how and reduce risk., • Time management and managing projects and all parties and advisors to strict deadlines., • A client following or ability to build one would be an advantage, but also suitable for someone more focused on the internal delivery of work, the technical aspects and management of teams and projects internally.
