With a strong commitment to operational excellence, the company values expertise and innovation in procurement and supply chain management. \n Description \n As a Procurement Manager you will manage a broad range; \n Indirect Procurement Management- Category Spend \n\n • Lead procurement activities across a broad range of indirect spend categories including:\n \n, • Energy and utilities\n, • Packaging\n, • Facilities management\n, • Transport and logistics\n, • IT and telecommunications\n, • Professional and business services\n, • Capital equipment and maintenance\n \n, • Deliver value-for-money solutions while ensuring continuity of supply and service.\n\n Spend & Category Management \n\n • Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.\n, • Develop category strategies for high value spend areas.\n, • Monitor supplier markets and benchmark pricing to ensure competitiveness.\n\n Supplier Relationship Management \n\n • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.\n, • Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • Drive supplier innovation and value-added opportunities.\n\n Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management \n\n • Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms, service levels, and pricing structures.\n, • Manage contract renewals and tender processes.\n, • Ensure all agreements support business objectives and mitigate commercial risk.\n\n Procurement Governance & Process Improvement \n\n • Lead and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and controls.\n, • Drive compliance across the business and promote best procurement practices.\n, • Standardise and enhance procurement processes across multiple business functions and sites.\n\n Risk Management \n\n • Identify procurement and supply chain risks.\n, • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to protect business operations.\n, • Support business continuity planning through effective supplier management.\n\n Stakeholder Engagement \n\n • Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and wider business functions to align procurement activities with operational and strategic objectives.\n, • Provide procurement expertise and commercial support to business projects and initiatives.\n\n Sustainability & Compliance \n\n • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.\n, • Support sustainability objectives through responsible sourcing practices.\n, • Coordinate compliance activities related to energy and environmental reporting requirements.\n\n Property & Land Management Support \n\n • Manage land and property-related procurement activities where required.\n, • Liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.\n\n \n Profile \n A successful Procurement Manager- Indirect Category Manager should have: \n We're looking for a proactive procurement professional who combines strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills. \n Essential Experience & Skills \n\n • Proven procurement experience ideally within an FMCG, manufacturing, industrial, or fast-paced operational environment.\n, • Strong background managing indirect spend categories and delivering measurable cost savings.\n, • Experience negotiating complex supplier contracts and commercial agreements.\n, • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and identify improvement opportunities.\n, • Strong project management capabilities and experience delivering process improvements.\n, • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build effective cross-functional relationships.\n, • Strong understanding of procurement governance, risk management, and supplier performance management.\n, • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.\n\n Qualifications \n\n • Minimum of 3+ years' procurement experience.\n, • CIPS qualification (or working towards) desirable.\n, • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline preferred.\n, • Advanced Excel skills and experience using procurement and ERP systems.\n\n \n \n Job Offer \n\n • Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum + bonus\n, • Permanent position based in Chichester.\n, • Opportunities to make a meaningful impact\n, • Supportive and professional working environment.\n, • Potential for career growth and development within the organisation.\n\n If you are ready to take the next step in your career as a Procurement Manager - Category Lead for Indirect Spend we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity today.
