Learn more at: alternativecareservices.co.uk Role Overview As a Support Worker with ACS, you’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate, respectful care to LGBT+ carers, residents, and community members in Luton. You’ll be trained to offer practical, emotional, and social support—building trust, reinforcing independence, and ensuring clients feel seen and valued. Key Responsibilities Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders Support mobility and daily activities with a focus on fostering independence Offer emotional support, companionship, and help clients engage in meaningful activities Implement tailored care plans developed with clients and care teams Document daily observations and dynamics to inform ongoing care Attend regular training—especially focused on LGBTQ+ inclusive care practices Essential Qualities & Skills A caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental attitude Great communication with clients, families, and colleagues Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Flexibility to work across Luton with reliable transport Willingness to commit to inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirmative care training Previous Support Worker experience is appreciated, however full training will be provided Why Work with Us? £13 per hour Specialized training in inclusive, LGBTQ+ sensitive care Full training Supportive workplace culture rooted in diversity and respect Opportunity to be part of pioneering, high-impact social care delivery Apply Today Please submit your CV.
