You will have an expert tutor on hand if required. Step 3 - Risk Assessments You will write a series of risk assessments that need to be up to a workplace standard. This is a requirement to gain your NEBOSH certification. Step 4 - NEBOSH Exams The exams can be sat in one of the official NEBOSH testing centres, or online. (Online only currently available for general certificate). Your Job Upon Completion Once you have completed all of the mandatory training and exams, we will place you into an entry level health & safety role as either a advisor, officer or coordinator, where you will be guaranteed a starting salary of £25K-£45K. Job Title: Event Staff / Server Reports to: Event Supervisor / Manager Job Purpose: To provide excellent food and beverage service during events, ensuring guests receive a professional, welcoming, and high-quality experience. Event Staff are responsible for setting up, serving, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth event operations. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Set up event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, glassware, and decorations as required. Serve food and beverages efficiently, following service standards. Assist with buffet service, plated meals, and drink service as instructed. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of service areas before, during, and after events. Handle guest requests and resolve issues promptly and politely. Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times. Work collaboratively with team members, event managers, and kitchen staff. Assist in clearing tables, collecting used crockery/glassware, and resetting areas. Support in post-event breakdown and cleaning. Requirements: Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or events is desirable but not essential (training can be provided). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
