    Primary School & Nursery Caretaker Required We are looking for a reliable and experienced Primary School & Nursery Caretaker to join our team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of ongoing work. Position: Primary School & Nursery Caretaker Start Date: 1 September 2026 End Date: 23 October 2026 Contract: Temporary (with potential to become ongoing) Working Hours: • Monday to Friday, • 6:00am – 9:30am, • 2:30pm – 6:00pm, • Split shift (7 hours per day) Key Responsibilities: • Opening and securing the school premises., • Carrying out daily health and safety checks., • General maintenance and minor repairs., • Ensuring the school and nursery are clean, safe, and well-presented., • Setting up rooms for school activities and events., • Liaising with contractors when required., • Responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies. Essential Requirements: • Previous caretaking or site management experience, ideally within a school environment., • Enhanced DBS Certificate., • Registered with the DBS Update Service (Checking Service)., • Good knowledge of health and safety procedures., • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently., • Strong communication and organisational skills. Skills, Qualifications and Experience: • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills., • Good understanding of domestic heating systems, boilers, and, • associated controls., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively,, • and work collaboratively as part of a team., • Good organisational skills with the ability to complete accurate, • records and documentation., • Valid Gas Safe registration., • Current ACS gas qualifications., • Proven relevant experience., • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
