Step 2 - NEBOSH Now you will decide whether you would like to study the NEBOSH General, Construction or the Fire Safety course, depending on the path that you intend your career to follow. You will have an expert tutor on hand if required. Step 3 - Risk Assessments You will write a series of risk assessments that need to be up to a workplace standard. This is a requirement to gain your NEBOSH certification. Step 4 - NEBOSH Exams The exams can be sat in one of the official NEBOSH testing centres, or online. (Online only currently available for general certificate). Your Job Upon Completion Once you have completed all of the mandatory training and exams, we will place you into an entry level health & safety role as either a advisor, officer or coordinator, where you will be guaranteed a starting salary of £25K-£45K. Role Overview This leadership role will involve managing the delivery of mental health services, supervising clinical and support staff, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and contributing to the strategic development of the organisation. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of mental health services in Exeter and surrounding areas. Manage, support, and supervise a team of mental health professionals. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, clinical governance, and quality assurance standards. Develop and implement service improvement plans. Work collaboratively with commissioners, NHS partners, and community organisations. Produce service performance reports for senior leadership. Essential Requirements A degree in psychology, counselling, mental health nursing, social work, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior or management-level mental health role. Strong understanding of mental health legislation and safeguarding. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Desirable Experience working in community or voluntary sector mental health services. Registration with a professional body (e.g., BACP, HCP, NMC). Experience with service commissioning or working within NHS frameworks.
