Assistant MEP Quantity Surveyor Construction & Engineering Projects Location: Leeds, Yorkshire, UK Sector: Power Generation / Technology / Infrastructure Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale construction and engineering projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth across multiple sectors, our client is seeking an Assistant MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team based in Leeds, supporting a portfolio of power generation and technology-focused projects. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) packages across a range of construction and engineering projects. Working closely with senior commercial staff, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Assistant MEP Quantity Surveyor will gain exposure to all aspects of project commercial delivery, helping to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities Assist in the commercial management of MEP packages across multiple projects Support the preparation of budgets, cost plans, valuations, and financial forecasts Assist with subcontract procurement processes, including tender analysis and subcontract administration Review subcontractor applications, variations, and payments under supervision Monitor project costs and support the identification of commercial risks and opportunities Assist in preparing monthly commercial reports and cost updates Work closely with project teams to track progress against programme and budget requirements Support the administration of contracts in accordance with agreed terms and conditions Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client representatives as required Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry standards Support the successful commercial close-out of projects Key Requirements Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial support role within construction or engineering Exposure to MEP, building services, infrastructure, or engineering projects is desirable Understanding of commercial and cost management principles within construction projects Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Degree-qualified or currently working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Eagerness to develop a long-term career within the construction and engineering sector In Return, Our Client Offers Negotiable basic salary Car allowance or travel support Attractive bonus structure Healthcare & Pension Structured training and career development Opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects with strong long-term career progression within a growing international contractor TPBN1_UKTJ
