Medical Receptionist Private Healthcare Clinic Salary: £30,000-£33,000 Location: Central London Job Type: Full-Time A newly established private primary healthcare clinic in the Mayfair area is seeking an experienced and highly organised Receptionist/Secretary to join its Front of House team. This modern, high-profile clinic supports a range of medical specialties including General Practice, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Psychology. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless patient journeys and supporting a team of leading clinicians. Day-to-day of the role: • Serve as the first and last point of contact for our patients, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth check-out process., • Register new patients and maintain accurate and confidential patient records., • Manage clinical diaries, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic., • Handle the practice inbox, responding to patient enquiries promptly and professionally., • Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinicians, including drafting and sending clinical correspondence, referral letters, and reports., • Process payments and raise invoices accurately., • Liaise effectively with clinicians, external partners, and patients to support clinical operations., • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes within the clinic. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience in a Front of House or medical secretarial role within a private healthcare or patient-facing environment., • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows., • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and warm manner., • High attention to detail and adept at managing multiple priorities., • Proficiency in using digital systems; experience with Semble or similar practice management software is highly advantageous., • Familiarity with mental health services is preferred, though full training will be provided., • A commitment to delivering a first-class patient experience consistently.
