The Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine. This is a substantive post, and applicants will be expected to have suitable experience within Intensive Care Medicine. The new appointee will share the caseload, facilities, and trainee grade support with the existing consultants. Requirements of the post-holder are listed below. The post is whole time and offers 8.5 Direct Clinical Care Programmed Activities (PAs) and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs). This post has been created to support the expansion of the Intensive Care Unit and to improve care for patients with tracheostomies, as well as to provide cover for the ITU follow-up clinic. The post holder will hold a CCT in Intensive Care Medicine. Experience working as a locum consultant in Intensive Care, or a fellowship in Intensive Care, would be advantageous. The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals. We run a Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub.
