SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: SurreyHours: Full-time / Term-timeStart Date: ASAP / FlexibleContract: Long-term / Permanent opportunities available We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive school setting in Surrey, working with pupils who present Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role As an SEMH LSA, you will: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs, • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning, • Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques, • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support EHCP targets We are looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting SEMH, ASD, or challenging behaviour (school, PRU, AP, youth work, or care background welcomed), • Is calm, patient, and emotionally resilient, • Has strong communication and behaviour management skills, • Is passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives, • Competitive daily rates or salary (depending on experience), • Ongoing CPD and training opportunities, • A supportive and experienced pastoral and SEN team Apply now by submitting your CV or get in touch for more information.
