Senior Project Planner | Global Transportation Engineering We are recruiting on behalf of a global, transportation engineering firm seeking a senior Project Planner to provide high-level consultancy to project managers and engineering functions. In this role, you won't just be managing a schedule; you will be the technical authority ensuring that project plans are resourced, realistic, and commercially viable. Key Details • Job Title: Project Planner, • Location: Redhill – Hybrid, • Salary: Up to £70,000 Basic per Annum DOE, • Full Time Permanent What’s In It For You? • Consultative Impact: You aren't just a scheduler; you will be key advisor helping project managers and senior leadership navigate complex project lifecycles, • Scale & Complexity: Work on large-scale, multi-party engineering projects across the globe, • Dynamic Culture: Join a resilient, fast-paced environment where proactivity is rewarded and professional growth is a priority, • Flexible Hours: Work in a hybrid model, where you can begin your day anytime between 7:30-9:30am to suit your lifestyle Key Responsibilities • Consultancy & Planning: Partner with project managers and engineers to construct fully resourced plans in Primavera P6, • Resource Mastery: Chair resource planning meetings and coordinate with department managers to ensure timely staff allocation and optimal utilisation, • Performance Analytics: Lead the Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path reporting processes to identify slippages and forecast trends to keep projects on track, • Financial Alignment: Coordinate the production of detailed budgets and ensure all plans remain realistic and consistent with "Cost to Complete" estimates, • Stakeholder Management: Build credible, high-trust relationships with customers and internal teams, translating complex schedules into clear, persuasive insights Requirements • Technical Expertise: Primavera P6 experience is essential. You must be capable of creating and maintaining robust plans across the entire project lifecycle, • Industry Background: Proven experience providing planning support within an Engineering or IT Development environment, • Mindset: A proactive attitude with the resilience to thrive in a busy, unsupervised environment, • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain key issues to mixed technical and non-technical audiences If you are experienced using Primavera P6 and have the communication skills to influence senior stakeholders, we want to hear from you.
