We’re looking for an enthusiastic Design & Technology Instructor/Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across multiple key stages. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll help raise standards, support pupil progress and contribute to an ambitious, inclusive curriculum. You’ll need a strong understanding of workshop health and safety, alongside a passion for supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. Most importantly, you’ll help young people build confidence, develop practical skills and discover their potential. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high‑quality Design & Technology teaching across Key Stages 1–4., • Plan and teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, carpentry, graphics, engineering principles and related disciplines., • Use resources effectively to support high standards of learning and achievement., • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective curriculum delivery., • Undertake additional curriculum responsibilities as agreed with the Assistant Headteacher and Curriculum Lead., • Act as a form tutor and positive role model, supporting students’ academic, social, and personal development., • Support whole-school literacy, numeracy and life skills initiatives., • Contribute to the development and delivery of high‑quality SEND provision., • Work closely with parents, external agencies, and young people with SEND, including those with SEMH needs, to promote effective inclusion.
