Newly created role to support the Governance Oversight team on a 6 month FTC where you will be accountable for defining and delivering an operational excellence framework for key oversight processes ensuring that effective processes, tools, communication, technology and ways of working are in place to build alignment of core oversight activity and ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is developed and adopted across the Markets Division. You will have two key areas of accountability for the team: Process/Governance: • Deliver a key process as part of the Secretariat to the Capital and Planning Group (CPG) that approves annual syndicate business plans and capital setting. Involvement with a variety of workstreams, working closely with different Corporation teams and leaders to ensure that CPG tasks are planned, scoped and delivered by deadlines and in line with requirements. Coordination of all outputs to all relevant stakeholders (internal and external), custodian in ensuring there is good communication to all stakeholders and a robust audit trail of Group activities. Attend CPG meetings, support pack production and write minutes, making sure they are signed off and circulated to colleagues within agreed timescales, working closely with members of the CPG, including the Chair., • Review and analyse the capital and planning approval processes on an annual basis, including the processes that underpin the group, the information used to make decisions, the data on which the management information is based and feedback from Managing Agents, received via the LMA. Make recommendations for improvements, which you will then be responsible for implementation, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders., • Contribute to and assist with coordinating CPG documentation, such as the Protocols which outlines the operational framework and detailed processes to support the successful delivery of CPG. Responsible for ensuring there is awareness through training and communication to all stakeholders and a robust audit trail of documentation., • Drive the production of the annual CPG process map and key dependency risk assessment, identifying key risks and dependencies in the process to drive recommendations and improvements., • Assist the team in ensuring that appropriate mechanisms are in place to promote communication and information sharing within Markets and more widely across the Corporation, using a number of internal collaboration tools, reports and presentations., • Support Senior members of the team in delivering governance, process and operational framework actions as required in relation to key committees such as the CPG and MOG.Data/Management Information/Tools:, • Design and produce financial, operational and regulatory data, tools, insight and reporting to CPG, Lloyd's governing bodies, and the regulator. Understand detailed reporting requirements, challenges and inter-dependencies across teams and be responsible for the design and delivery of the single source of CPG MI., • Be accountable for data accuracy including the data received from oversight teams. Make recommendations that will ensure effective and informed decision making and communicate progress, material findings, areas of opportunity / challenge and outcomes for oversight activities. Prepare and present regular updates to stakeholders including the CPG Chair and CPG members., • Ownership and responsibility for the design and development of modern and sophisticated systems and tools to support the CPG and other Markets processes where required. Systems include documentation, SharePoint sites, QlikSense, Power BI, Excel, Macros, and progressive automation., • Liaise with Lloyd's data and oversight teams to make changes, fulfil data governance requirements, impact assessments, prioritisation of work, testing of changes and produce guidance for relevant stakeholders. Identify and promote the most effective approaches to data management, analysis and utilisation throughout the Corporation, while making sure we're consistently adhering to our governance and risk standards., • Participate in the Data Community of Practice (DCoP), collaborating and encouraging data knowledge sharing, best practice and innovation across the functions within Lloyd's. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing within DCoP, the aim is to streamline processes and systems across Lloyd's, making it easier for teams to access and utilise data effectively.To be effective in this role you will need to demonstrate a number of key skills:, • Build effective relationships, supported by a flexible and "willing to help attitude"., • Excellent organisational skills, balancing competing demands and to plan/ prioritise accordingly, ensuring that deadlines are met., • Collate, analyse and interpret management information, and present information with impact so that it can be easily understood., • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular - Excel, Word and PowerPoint., • Ability to read, write and update Macros., • Experience with QlikSense, and potentially with PowerBI., • An ability to assess technical operational processes and both identify and mitigate key risk areas and support ongoing improvement., • Problem solve and make good decisions., • Deliver change management and implementation of new processes and systems., • Resilience in shaping/ pursuing solutions that will deliver required results. #LI-MARKETS #LI-HYBRID Diversity and inclusion are a focus for us - Lloyd's aim is to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we work in.
