Chetham’s School of Music seeks an accomplished performer, teacher and leader with a specialism in Woodwind to fulfil a Head of Department role. • A permanent, term time only role from January 2027 (subject to recruitment checks)., • 4 days per week, Monday to Friday (with additional hours supporting student performances/ rehearsals during the evening and at weekends as required). Hours can be considered on an individual and flexible basis. (This role may be suitable for a job share for the right candidates)., • Regular Saturday morning work is required, plus some evening and additional weekend work., • The role will focus on caretaking the Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Department. The successful candidate(s) will support our Woodwind, Brass & Percussion students to continue to reach the highest of musical standards within a nurturing environment, focussed on personal growth and wellbeing.
