Branch Manager – Birmingham (Solihull) Salary: £60,000 + car allowance + benefits +Industry leading Bonus Office-based leadership role | Global logistics business | Pivotal opportunity This is a rare and career-defining leadership opportunity. For the first time in over a decade, our client’s Birmingham operations team is seeking a new Branch Manager. This is a high-profile role, reporting directly into the Head of Commercial Operations and working closely with the UK Managing Director. The successful candidate will inherit a well-established branch team and will be responsible for leading operations across freight forwarding (import & export), road freight, and customs brokerage. This is more than just an operational management role – it is about driving growth, inspiring people, and shaping the future of the Birmingham branch. What we’re looking for We are seeking an experienced and ambitious logistics professional with the following qualities: • Operations expertise – extensive knowledge of international freight, road transport and (ideally) customs brokerage, • Commercial edge – comfortable generating sales leads, nurturing client relationships, and supporting business development initiatives, • Inspirational leadership – proven experience in leading, mentoring and developing multi-generational teams, • Change-oriented mindset – energetic, resilient, digital-savvy, and ready to implement improvements and embrace transformation Key responsibilities • Lead, coach and develop the branch team, building a collaborative and high-performing culture, • Drive branch profitability, with full P&L responsibility, • Deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service, • Build strong customer and supplier relationships to support business growth, • Champion digital tools and solutions to enhance efficiency and integration, • Represent the business externally at industry events, customer meetings and supplier negotiations What’s on offer • Salary: c. £60,000 p.a., • Industry Leading Bonus structure, • Car allowance, • Benefits: private medical option, pension (7.5% employer contribution), death in service, Perkbox, EAP, online GP, Specsavers scheme, workplace nursery provision, cycle-to-work and tech benefits, long service & performance awards, • Working pattern: Office-based, Monday–Friday (37.5 hrs, 9:00–17:30), • Free parking at all sites This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a leader who thrives under pressure, can balance multiple priorities, and who genuinely believes in people, performance, and progress.
