About the Role We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Social Workers to join a well-established Family Support & Safeguarding service across Cambridgeshire. You will play a key role in supporting vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety and well being while enabling positive, long-term change. Location: Cambridgeshire (Multiple Locations Available) • Huntington, • Wisbech, • Cambridge City, • East Cambridgeshire - Ely Key Responsibilities • Manage a varied caseload of children and families, ensuring timely, effective interventions that promote stability and positive outcomes., • Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and other statutory duties in line with legislation and local safeguarding procedures., • Develop clear, outcome-focused care and support plans, regularly reviewing progress and adapting interventions to meet changing needs., • Build strong, professional relationships and carry out meaningful direct work with children, young people, and families to achieve sustainable change., • Identify and assess risks, taking proactive steps to safeguard children, including initiating and managing child protection plans where necessary., • Work closely with key partners including schools, health professionals, police, and other agencies to deliver coordinated support., • Prepare high-quality reports and care plans for court proceedings and represent the local authority where required., • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, core group meetings, strategy discussions, and reviews., • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements and organisational policies., • Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and training to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
