As a Pre-Construction Officer, you will be responsible for managing the pre-construction process, ensuring all schemes are enabled prior to planning and operational activity on site. This will involve managing a team of surveyors who undertake site visits capturing risks and engineering opportunities and ensuring this information is both acted upon and cascaded to the relevant internal and external stakeholders. This role is also responsible for leading for the CMO with the review of future works prior to final design, ensuring that designs are practical, cost effective and align with the CMO’s business plan objectives. We are looking for someone to: • Act as the lead point of contact for all pre-construction activity for the contract, • Work closely with the contract design team to ensure any new work is fit for purpose, • Identify engineering opportunities prior to schemes being planned to improve operations delivery and/or cost effectiveness and subsequently managing and monitoring the change process for these schemes, • Work collaboratively with Health & Safety advisors to promote best practice across all works, • Ensure all Health & Safety standards are being adhered to across all design works, • Ensure any CDM regulations (principle contractor responsibilities) are being adhered to across all works, • Identify and resolve any third party restrictions (easements, bridges and structures) by liaising with the relevant stakeholders, • Develop strong and regular communication links with clients, colleagues and Local Authority officers, • Health & Safety qualification an advantage, • Relevant qualifications and authorisations, • Experience of working in Utilities, • Supervisor Street works qualification, • Deep Excavation knowledge and experience, • Good management skills, • Financial and commercial awareness, • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, • Full UK Driving Licence We offer a competitive salary based on experience along with a full benefits package. Meet the Protection Sales Team We’re a growing team of almost 30 dedicated Protection Advisors, led by two experienced Sales Managers. This is the future realised-for you, for our customers, and for the shape of technology as we've dreamed it. * This is a hybrid position - you will work 3 days a week from our Manchester office. * Key Responsibilities • Handle advanced technical troubleshooting, quality assurance, and directly resolve escalated bugs at a Tier 3 level, with a primary focus on Sage Copilot, • Provide comprehensive support for Integrators during hyper care processes and feature releases, • Serve as a bridge between product and support teams to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution., • Conduct initial technical investigations and triage of escalated bugs, issues, and inquiries., • Resolve complex technical issues by applying in-depth coding knowledge and expertise with C# and MySQL, • Gain a deep understanding of the various architectures within the product suite to accurately identify the necessary databases and components for effective resolution., • Recommend alternative solutions that optimize customer time and money., • Enhance customer experience and operational efficiency through timely issue resolution, • Support integrators, facilitating the integration of various Sage products with SXP to deliver a seamless, one-platform suite experience., • Monitor and review logs, errors, and performance around bugs and issues, providing recommendations to improve system quality., • Maintain code quality and scalability through clean, well-structured, and testable code; conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. The remit of this strategic role will include; • Play a key role in the growth and capability footprint of the Hydrology Team., • Stakeholder interface across all technical and commercial matters., • Support of project teams, including coordinating planning and tender ( preparing schedule and scope of works)., • Provide technical expertise for hydrological studies including FRM, EIAs, Reservoir engineering, Low Flow, and Water Resources studies., • Continuously develop Subject Matter Expertise in the application of UK Flood hydrologic analysis in line with escribed within Flood Estimation Handbook "FEH"., • Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of a supportive team environment, taking an active role in the mentoring and professional development of colleagues., • Checking and reviewing calculations and technical deliverables, • Writing and reviewing technical reports Keen to play your part in the delivery of long term high profile innovative projects that will directly impact future generations and communities????
