Overview We're hiring a PR Account Executive to help deliver PR and marketing campaigns across our roster of active-lifestyle and movement-focused brands; cycling, sport, outdoors, mobility. This is a hands-on and fast-paced role. In a typical week you'll be pitching journalists, securing coverage, drafting press materials, managing media lists, supporting client updates and keeping accounts moving. You'll work across around five accounts at once, so you'll need to be organised, calm under pressure and able to manage your own workload as priorities shift. One thing to be clear about: this isn't a role for someone who just loves the sector. You need to be genuinely interested in PR & comms as a craft, spotting stories, building media relationships, writing well, selling in ideas and delivering results for clients. About Fusion Fusion Media is a marketing and communications agency working with active-lifestyle brands around the world. For nearly 20 years we've delivered PR and marketing campaigns for some of the leading names in cycling, sport, outdoors and mobility. We're remote-first, with a team across London and the UK, Paris, Berlin and Lisbon. We value autonomy, trust and flexibility, and we're honest about agency life: there are busy periods, tight deadlines and moments where things move quickly. Remote doesn't mean isolated; we meet in person for team gatherings, client meetings, media work and events. What you will do • Media relations - build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers and content creators; pitch stories, follow up properly and secure the right coverage for each client, • Content & copywriting - draft press releases, media alerts, pitch notes, client updates and features, adapting your tone across different clients and audiences, • Campaign support - research ideas, monitor trends and news, spot reactive opportunities and turn client activity into stories media will want to cover, • Client support -reliable day-to-day support across your accounts: requests, calls, updates and keeping actions on track, • Events & media activity - support launches, races, trade shows and press events, at times representing Fusion and our clients on-site, • Reporting & admin - track coverage, update media lists and support all client reporting, • New business - support research, proposals and Fusion's own marketing where needed This role requires confidence switching between clients, tools and priorities while staying accurate and professional. It includes admin, reporting, timesheets as a real part of the job. What We’re Looking for • 1–2 years' hands-on experience in PR, communications or media relations (agency-side or in-house), • Good knowledge of the cycling industry, its audiences, media landscape and key events, • A proven interest in PR & comms as a craft, not just enthusiasm for the sector, • Strong writing skills, including spelling, grammar and attention to detail, • Confidence in pitching media and following up with journalists, • Strong organisation across multiple clients and deadlines, • A calm, reliable approach when priorities change quickly, • Curiosity, initiative and the ability to spot a story, • Comfort working independently in a remote team, • Confidence using digital collaboration and communication tools Additional language skills, particularly French, German, Spanish or Italian, are an advantage, given the international nature of our clients, media relationships and campaigns. The role involves regular travel for media meetings, client meetings, trade shows, launches, races and events, both in the UK and internationally. Some travel may be at short notice.
