About the job Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home (EBD & Complex Needs) Location: West Leeds, Yorkshire (LS13) Salary: £15.50 per hour + approx 10 sleep ins per month at £50 / night (c. £35k pa total) Position Type: Full Time (36 hrs per week, 24-hour support required, 15.5-hour shifts + sleep in, 1 on 2 off rota) Provision: Residential Children’s Home Specialism: Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) & Complex Mental Health Capacity: Up to 3 children/young people (8-17yrs old) About Us We are establishing a new 3-bedded children’s home supporting young people (8–17yrs) with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. Our leadership team - RI, RM, DM have over 40 years of senior and managerial experience within outstanding and good-rated provisions, and our aim is to build a strong, supportive culture where staff feel valued, trusted, and developed. The Role As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll: · Lead shifts and support staff to provide consistent, high-quality care. · Act as a key worker, building strong, trusting relationships with young people. · Promote emotional stability through trauma-informed and PACE-based practice. · Support education, health, social skills and independence goals that prepare young people for their future. · Maintain safeguarding, recording, and compliance standards in line with Ofsted’s Quality Standards. · Mentor junior staff and contribute to the home’s development under guidance from the Deputy and Registered Manager. What We’re Looking For · Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), essential. · Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential or EBD setting. · Strong understanding of safeguarding, attachment, and trauma-informed care and use of the PACE framework. · Confident, calm shift leader able to inspire and support others. · Commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
