This a full-time, 18-month contract (initial pop-up term with potential for ongoing role within the CONDUCTR subsidiary) About us: Gameface launches in Manchester in March 2026 — a pop-up attraction blending social gaming, group competition, and a lively bar atmosphere. It’s a playground for adults who love challenge, camaraderie, and great vibes — where guests play hard and sip harder. Role Overview: As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind Gameface’s success — leading the team, shaping the atmosphere, and ensuring guests leave buzzing with stories to tell. Your focus will be on guest experience, team culture, and smooth operational delivery, with the bar experience as an integral part of creating that perfect night out. You’ll set the tone for service, energy, and quality, ensuring every interaction — from game zone to bar — is on point. Key Responsibilities: Venue Leadership & Delivery • Launch and oversee daily operations across both game experiences and the bar, • Drive overall performance, ensuring service, atmosphere, and guest engagement stay world-class, • Work closely with the marketing team and Printworks partners to drive awareness, events, and local collaborations Team Development & Culture • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-energy team that embodies the spirit — positive, playful, and professional, • Lead from the front, energising your team on busy shifts and creating a culture built on communication, care, and accountability, • Build clear standards of service and coach your team to deliver them consistently Customer Experience & Bar Oversight • Ensure seamless flow between gaming, hospitality, and bar service — every guest interaction should feel cohesive and memorable, • Oversee bar operations to ensure high-quality service, efficient stock control, and compliance, • Champion drinks innovation and presentation as part of the wider Gameface experience (not just a bar, but part of the show) Commercial & Operational Performance • Manage budgets, stock, staffing, and reporting to achieve commercial goals, • Maintain strong Health & Safety, licensing, and compliance standards, • Continuously improve systems, processes, and guest feedback loops You Should Have: • 3+ years’ experience managing a venue, attraction, or experience-led business, • Proven success in leading a high-performing team and delivering exceptional guest experiences, • Strong operational and financial skills (P&L, budgets, labour and stock management), • Great understanding of bar service standards and operations, with the ability to support bar managers and floor staff effectively, • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, • Energy, presence, and a calm head under pressure It would be great if you have: • Experience in launching or managing start-up / pop-up venues, • A Personal Licence, • Experience in competitive socialising or leisure-hospitality What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits, • A dynamic, supportive environment within the Conductr group, • Opportunity to shape a new, high-profile experience brand, • A culture that values creativity, teamwork, and pride in every guest interaction The values powering Gameface: Gameface is new on the scene and built on the proven culture we’ve created at our parent company, CONDUCTR, which is proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work®, officially certified for our outstanding workplace culture and employee experience.
