Summary of the Role: The EV Operation Analyst will support the Charge Point Operation Manager in maintaining the network reliability, uptime, and customer satisfaction. This role involves technical troubleshooting, customer support, and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues. Location: Field based with occasional visits to the Canary Wharf Offices and other local office spaces around the UK for team meetings may be required. Working Pattern: This role is offered on a Full-Time basis of 37 hours per week, 5 days per week Monday to Friday. Whilst this role requires consistent hours due to operational demands, we are open to discussing options in accordance with our ‘Flexible First’ guidelines What you ‘ll be doing: • Deliver high-quality technical support by responding to monitoring alerts, investigating and replicating reported issues, and escalating bugs when necessary., • Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical faults, escalating complex issues when necessary., • Support in resolving remote issues or coordinating site visits as required., • Monitor the charging network daily to ensure consistent performance and high uptime., • Act as a single point of contact for CPO queries, offering initial diagnostics and escalating when needed., • Track and support customer onboarding to ensure smooth integration and setup., • Liaise with third-party suppliers to ensure timely technical support, troubleshooting, and fault resolution within agreed service levels., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer service, operations, and finance to ensure cohesive service delivery., • Ensure all ongoing actions and issue statuses are accurately documented, • Maintain records of resolved issues and contribute to process documentation for improved support efficiency., • Provide feedback on recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives., • Work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment. Experience & Skills Required: • Experience in customer support, ticketing systems, and technical troubleshooting., • Familiarity with charge point management systems or IoT platforms is advantageous, but not essential., • Experience with monitoring tools and incident management platforms., • Experience working across multiple teams such as customer service, operations, and finance., • Experience with data entry, reporting tools, and maintaining accurate support logs, • Understanding of protocols like OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) and OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) is a plus, • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus. Location: The location is flexible, offered with the potential of being Field Based within the UK, although the position holder will be required to work in the London Office in Canary Wharf on an occasional basis, and elsewhere as may be required by the business. The Team: You will be working with the head of legal who has twenty years of post-qualification experience. The head of legal trained at a top London firm and has worked for US law firms, in-house and for major international law firms for clients such as Gucci, FIFA, Shell and UBS. Experience will also be gained through engaging with the Source external legal advisors (firms such as CMS and TLT). The legal team may grow in the future to include a dedicated in-house real estate lawyer. What does the job entail? Roles and Responsibilities: The role will be focused on supporting and assisting with real estate, commercial and company matters. Responsibilities will include the following but in general will provide the opportunity to be proactively involved with a number of key legal and compliance matters in this area. Preparing reports to the business on key terms in documents to be used at project approval meetings. Updating online trackers to record the status of various projects. Attending meetings (usually online) with internal business contacts and external lawyers to take notes/list action points. Collating documents and obtaining approvals ahead of documents being sent for execution by the directors. Managing the folders containing the precedent documents and completed documents for all Source sites, and maintaining central control list of all lease agreements. Assisting with purchase order (agreed legal spend) and money transfer requests. Supporting with the transition of legal documents and contract novation. Potential to oversee all legal matters (with support from the head of legal) for all sites in a certain jurisdiction and be the main point of contact to gain experience as a junior legal counsel. Other ad hoc tasks assigned by Legal Manager or company Management For the role, the candidate will have the following: • Strong academic background with a degree., • Experience gained working for a law firm would also be preferred (but not essential)., • Proactive and detail orientated with a demonstrable ability to gather information from relevant teams and to support in the review of contractual terms., • Adapt and embrace changes in work practices and job activities., • Provide clear and concise written and verbal information and advice., • Good communication skills to develop positive internal and external stakeholder networks., • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise work activities., • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Role Overview for Systems Engineer – BESS Modelling The BESS Modelling department is responsible for developing and deploying advanced behavioural and control models to optimise the operation of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operations. As a Systems Engineer in the BESS Modelling Department, you will help with design and deployment of on-site compute and data infrastructure that enables these models to run on live BESS plants. You will bridge the gap between industrial control systems and modern data infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data collection and orchestration between distributed edge servers and a central analytics environment as well as interfacing with cloud infrastructure such as AWS. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Setup & Deployment • Design, configure, and maintain on-site compute infrastructure (edge servers, gateways, networking)., • Deploy containerized environments (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes) to host modelling and data processing workloads., • Implement robust and efficient communication and data synchronization between distributed edge nodes and a central cloud or on-premise server. Data Collection & Industrial Connectivity • Develop and manage data acquisition systems interfacing with plant control systems., • Integrate industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, or equivalent. Ensure data integrity, timestamp accuracy, and consistent data flow from field devices to databases. System Orchestration & Monitoring • Build frameworks for managing and scheduling model execution (e.g. simulation, forecasting, diagnostics). Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for edge compute environments., • Support the deployment and updates of new modelling scripts or container images on site. Collaboration & Support • Work closely with data scientists and modelling engineers to understand compute and data requirements., • Collaborate with site commissioning teams and control engineers to ensure safe integration into existing plant systems., • Provide documentation, training, and troubleshooting support for deployed systems. Required Skills and Experience Technical • Strong understanding of industrial data acquisition and control systems (PLC/SCADA interfaces, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, etc.)., • Experience with edge computing or distributed system design., • Proficiency in Linux administration, Docker, and network configuration., • Familiarity with Python or scripting languages for automation and data handling., • Experience with databases (e.g. TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, or PostgreSQL) and data orchestration tools., • Understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and safe plant integration. Desirable • Exposure to AWS / Azure IoT / Greengrass / Kubernetes or other relevant orchestration frameworks. Experience working with time series data pipelines. Knowledge of BESS operations, power systems, or renewable energy controls., • Previous experience with edge-to-cloud data architectures. Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and hands-on approach to technical challenges., • Comfortable working in operational environments (industrial or energy)., • Collaborative mindset and ability to translate between modelling, DevOps and controls engineering teams., • Ability to present and communicate complex topics with broader audiences and multi disciplinary teams., • Strong ability to document to a high quality level to enable effective knowledge capture and transfer.
